Number one on our list is the safety of our employees, subcontractors and the end users of our product. We have a full time Safety Coordinator on staff to ensure our safety training meets or exceeds OSHA requirements. Subcontractors and visitors are required to go through a brief safety training to ensure our safety standards and procedures are followed.
 
New employees receive detailed orientation for the job duties they will perform, as well as for other tasks and hazards in surrounding areas. The Safety Coordinator is frequently in the shop and field observing and training employees on safer ways to accomplish tasks. 

Fab Tech promotes an atmosphere where everyone is concerned for the well-being of those around them. To help accomplish this, employees perform rotating safety audits, where they walk through the shop and bring up safety concerns - from house cleaning to damaged or worn out equipment to unsafe procedures. 

For the end users we have a walk through on our plants prior to shipment to ensure all hazards are either called out, or some form of protection is in place. 

Fabrication Technologies participates in several safety programs including SHARP, ISNetworld, and PC Premier for safety evaluation. Fab Tech has won several awards for our Safety Program including:

Governor's Safety Award for the Best Safety Program for a Large General Industry - 2007

Fab Tech is a preferred contractor for the major oil producers in the United States. We are a drug free workplace with pre-employment screening, random testing, and, after any accident, mandatory testing. We also participate in DISA, which is a national based drug and alcohol testing company. We have kept safety at the top of our list and strive to keep it number one.
